Natalie Boyle has a fateful visit to her friend Annie’s hospital room and makes a promise to send the nanny she no longer needs (as she is recovered from her own health crises) to take care of Annie’s two young kids. She begins a crowdfunding campaign to pay for two weeks of childcare for Annie and says she will provide as much care as she can fundraise for. As the money comes in quickly, she realizes that this is destined to be something more and begins the process of creating a nonprofit organization.

Natalie recruits a few friends to be on the first board of directors for this new non-profit, Mommies In Need. Natalie Boyle is the Board Chair/President, Kristin Evans is the Treasurer and Tracy Jager is the Secretary. (Kathy Bennett joined a few months later but is considered a member of the founding board.)

Mommies In Need receives approval of its 501(c)3 status in record time and we are off!

After 6 months of caring for Annie’s children, we raise enough money to hire our second nanny and take on our second family.

Mommies In Need keeps growing. We accept our 16th family!

We hit the milestone of providing our families with 15,000 hours of free childcare!

Officially announce that we will be opening a childcare center called Annie’s Place at Parkland Hospital to provide free care to patients and that it will be named in memory of our very first mom, who sadly passed from a re-occurrence of her cancer in 2018.

Mommies In Need celebrates it’s 5th birthday with some of our nearest and dearest friends!

Construction starts on Annie’s Place!

We find out we are a beneficiary for the Crystal Charity Ball!

In light of the pandemic, we make the difficult decision to pause our in-home program until it is safe to resume it.

We start serving families through our brand-new Virtual Program! We are not an organization to let a pandemic stop us from helping sick moms to get time to rest.

We hire and begin training the staff of Annie’s Place.

We have our ribbon cutting and officially serve our first children at Annie’s Place
